Jatropha Curcas is an excellent biofuel crop which has many other advantages over existing crops typically used to make biofuels. The oil content of its seeds is an incredible 37%, its easy to grow, requires no irrigation, improves the soil on which it is grown, and the waste left over after pressing out the oil is Nitrogen rich and make excellent fertiliser and/or animal feed.

This not-for-profit Indian organisation aim to help create sustainable rural development by creating job opportunities and investing in agriculture.
Centre of Excellence for Jatropha Biodiesel Promotion - Based in Rajhastan, India, they also promote the development of rural India through selling and promoting Jatropha. Their site has a lot of information about growing Jatropha and they sell Jatropha seeds. They also discuss the economics of growing Jatropha with a detailed financial breakdown of the first five years of starting to grow Jatropha.
